About Me
My Journey to Counselling
I believe that everyone deserves a safe, warm space to be heard — and that with the right support, positive change is always possible.
Hello, I'm Gail
I have been working as a counsellor since 2015, supporting individuals and couples through some of life's most challenging moments. My journey into counselling began from a deep personal belief that every person's story matters and deserves to be heard with compassion and without judgement.
I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, low self-esteem, trauma, and life transitions. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feeling stuck, I am here to walk alongside you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I work to the highest professional and ethical standards. My practice is grounded in the integrative approach, which places you — your needs, your pace, your goals — at the heart of every session.

Who I Work With
Areas of Experience & Specialism
Over the years I have developed particular experience working with certain groups and communities. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you are welcome here.
Emergency Services & Public Sector
I have significant experience supporting members of the emergency services, including police, fire, NHS, prison and probation services, ambulance crews, and GPs. I understand the unique pressures, trauma, and emotional weight that come with these roles, and I offer a space where that can be explored without judgement.
School Staff & Education Professionals
I work regularly with staff in schools — teachers, teaching assistants, admin and catering teams. The demands placed on those working in education are often underestimated. I provide a confidential, supportive space to process stress, burnout, and the emotional challenges of working with children and young people.
Baby, Infant & Child Loss
This is a deeply personal area of my practice. I have a specialist interest in supporting those who have experienced the loss of a baby, infant, or child — whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss, or the death of a child at any age. This kind of grief is profound and often misunderstood. I offer a compassionate, unhurried space where your loss is honoured and your grief is held with the care it deserves.
What I Believe In
These five words sit at the heart of everything I do.
People
Every person is unique. I honour your individuality and meet you exactly where you are.
Stories
Your story matters. Sharing it in a safe space is often the first step towards healing.
Support
You don't have to face life's challenges alone. I'm here to walk alongside you.
Understanding
Feeling truly understood — without judgement — can be profoundly transformative.
Positive Change
I believe in your capacity to grow, heal, and move towards a brighter version of yourself.
How I Work
My Approach
I use an Integrative approach, which means our sessions are led by you. There is no agenda, no pressure, and no judgement — just a warm, confidential space where you can explore whatever feels most important.
I also draw on elements of other therapeutic approaches where helpful, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques, always tailoring my practice to your individual needs.
